Sahara Ventures is a group of company composed of Sahara Sparks and Sahara Consult. Sahara Ventures focuses on management of projects that creates impact to the community. The company is currently involved in multiple projects including; Data Zetu Project, Amua Accelerator, Hatua Project and Mawazo Challenge. The company also organizes corporate events, meetup sessions, training and seminars through its wing Sahara Sparks Event (T) Limited.

Sahara Ventures helps development organizations simplify their management tasks; projects, events and human resource so that they can free up money, time and resources to invest in their core business. We do this by providing a disciplined, organized and determined team of expert individuals with experience in managing for impact projects.

Sahara Ventures is looking to hire a part time HR consultant (a company or individual) to help the company on the general HR issues and HR issues related to the projects. Download pdf here

Job opportunity - Engagement Fellows

Sahara Sparks seeks a Engagement Fellows (Six Positions) for a program focused on improving the production, coordination, management, use, and sharing of data in order to improve decision making at the subnational level. The program seeks to demonstrate how the data revolution can be mainstreamed to the subnational level by improving the capacity of institutions at that level to provide actionable data locally while enabling and increasing the participation of stakeholders to use data to improve services and lives. The program will specifically target priority areas at the village, ward, and district levels to support data producers and consumers within government, academia, private sector, media, civil society organizations, entrepreneurs, and other stakeholders. Sahara Sparks is looking for Monitoring, Evaluation, Research and Learning Consultant for the Innovation Accelerator program.

The Innovation Accelerator is a mentorship driven accelerator program supporting young entrepreneurs with seed funding, training and skills development to generate innovative solutions in response to challenges related to sexual and reproductive health, sexuality education, family planning, maternal health and other population development issues in line with UNFPA's mandate, National ICT Policy of 2016 and MoHCDGEC mHealth Strategic Plan of 2013.

Sahara Sparks is looking for Technical Support Consultancy (Research and Learning Expert) for the Mawazo Challenge 2 project.

Mawazo Challenge 2 looks at design and implement an innovation support mechanism that would specifically target university students (Undergraduate, Graduate, Doctoral, and Post Doctoral) studying in a health and/or allied science field across Tanzania to prototype and test their research. Positive impacts could include practical experience and skills for university graduates in health-related Funded by fields, a renewed focus on applied research among higher learning institutions in health, and potential identification of new health technologies. Sahara Sparks is looking for Technical Support Team (Community Engagement & Research) for the Data Zetu project.

Data Zetu is an 18-month project that Sahara Sparks will be implementing in collaboration with our partners IREX, Tanzania Bora Initiative, Code for Tanzania and SBC4D. The project has been funded by PEPFAR and is managed by the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC).

During this period the project will focus on Temeke (Mbagala, Mbagala Kuu, Tandika and Makangarawe), Mbeya City ( Katobe, Lyunga, Mabatini, Uyole, Nzovwe and Iyela ) and Kyela (Ngana, Kyela, Matema and Mwaya) districts. For more information about the opportunity Download pdf here
